Check how much you know about radioactivity.

What is radioactive waste?

Radioactive waste is every material that is no longer usable, and whose radioactivity is outside the legal scope.
RW is kitchen waste (food preparation refuse) and garden or green waste.
RW is waste whose composition and properties are not harmful on human health and the environment.
RW is hazardous waste representing all electronic and electrical devices.

What is the difference between radioactive waste storage and disposal?

Storage means sorting each household's RW from the total RW produced, and disposal means safe storage of RW into designated household containers.
Storage means keeping the RW in a neighboring garage (until it ripens), and disposal means throwing the RW in your own yard.
Storage means temporarily keeping the radioactive waste in a designated facility, while disposal means permanently disposing the waste in a repository and not intending to use it again.
Storage means keeping the RW in municipal waste bins, and disposal means permanently disposing the waste at the Jakuševac landfill.
